What Length of Screw to Use and is Caulking Required to Isntall the Hopkins Graduated RV Levels

I was wondering the length of screw to use and should I caulk behind it to help prevent water from seeping in

The Hopkins Graduated RV Levels # HM08525 are about 1/2" thick and have mounting holes that are 5/16" in diameter. Since these can be mounting in a variety of locations just make sure that your screws are a bit longer than 1/2" are the correct material for your mounting surface.
The tube that the bubble is in is actually sealed so there is no need to add caulk behind the unit for the installation. It wouldn't hurt anything but it isn't needed either.
