Determining if Rock Tamer Adjustble Mud Flap System Can Be Used with Pro Series Ball Mount # 63071
Question:
Pro Series #63071 use it with Rock Tamer Mud Flaps #ERT00110? Can you confirm whether the Pro Series #63071 is compatible with the Rock Tamers #ERT00110? Pro Series #63071 has a flared shape on the receiver stock that perhaps will cause issue when mounting the Rock Tamers. Rock Tamer mounting instructions on etrailer site says this requires a minimum 1inch gap between receiver opening and the adjustable hitch to accommodate the mounting of the Rock Tamers I recently purchased Pro Series #63071 Adjustable Hitch. Now I want to purchase Rock Tamer Mud Flaps #ERT00110. Please let me know. Thank you.

The Rock Tamers Heavy-Duty Adjustable Mud Flap System # ERT00110 referenced in your question is designed to fit over a 2-1/2 inch ball mount. Since you have the 2 inch Pro Series Adjustable Ball Mount # 63071 you will want to go with the Rock Tamers Mud Flap System # ERT00108 instead so that it fits securely around the shank. This is the same system that you were looking at but it features a smaller opening for the 2 inch shank on your ball mount.
The flared shank on the Pro Series Ball Mount that you mentioned shouldn't cause an issue as long as you have the needed 1 inch clearance between the back of the ball mount face and the hitch receiver opening. I am not certain if this clearance is present when installing the ball mount on your Ram as this also depends on the hitch pin hole depth of your particular trailer hitch receiver.
What I recommend doing is inserting the Pro Series Ball Mount into the hitch and taking a measurement on the shank from before it starts to taper up back to the hitch receiver opening. As long as you get a measurement of at least 1 inch the mud flaps will work perfectly. If you get a shorter length please let me know and I will be happy to recommend a different solution.
