Weight Distribution for Two Trailer with Tongue Weight Ranges Between 700 and 1,300 lbs

Question:

Im looking for a weight distribution system that I could use on two different trailers. A 20 foot utility trailer, which would have tongue weights of 700-1000 pounds and a 26 foot RV, which could have a tongue weight of 1300 pounds. The max weight of the RV is 13000 pounds and the max weight of the utility trailer is 10000 pounds. I only move either trailer very rarely so I want one system which could handle both. It looks to me that this system RP66561inch might be the perfect fit. The RV is 13.5 feet high and 26 feet long so I expect a lot of sway, the utility trailer is only 20 feet and of normal height. Will RP66561 work to handle both my trailers?

For the tongue weight ranges you listed on both trailers the Reese Steadi-Flex Weight Distribution System # RP66561 with it's tongue weight range of 700-1,400 lbs would be a really great setup as it covers what you'd have. You'll need a hitch ball with this too like part # 19286.

The only thing you'll need to consider is that each trailer will require it's own specific setup so you'll have to set up the system for each trailer every time you switch. The sway control of this system will do a great job fighting sway from winds and passing semis but it can't fix persistent sway that happens at a certain speed.
