Recommended Curt Gooseneck Hitch for 2018 Chevy Silverado 1500 with 5-1/2 Foot Bed

Question:

Will Curt Double Lock Hitch fit in my 2018 Chevy Silverado 1500 Crew Cab with 5 foot 8 inch Bed? Are their any issues installing the hitch in my Chevy Silverado that I need to be made aware of? Do the instructions I saw in the video and the pdf instructions the same for my truck or is there something else I need to know.

I do have a solution for you, however the Curt Double Lock Underbed Gooseneck Hitch # C607-604 referenced in your question is only designed to fit the 2018 Silverado 2500 or 3500 that features a longer bed. It will not work on your Silverado 1500 that has the 5-1/2 foot bed.

For the Curt Double Lock Gooseneck Hitch that is designed to fit your truck you instead need the part # C615-632. This is confirmed to fit and includes custom brackets that use existing holes in the truck's frame so you won't have to drill into it during installation. Nothing else is needed in terms of installation but since your bed is shorter than 6 feet you might also need the Offset Ball # C602 to provide you with 4 inches of additional cab clearance when towing.
