Best Hitch and E-Bike Rack for 2018 Audi A3

Question:

We want to use a hitch bike rack on our base model A3. We need one for our 2 new electric bikes that weigh 58-lbs each. We do not have the hitch or rack yet. What can you recommend? We're anxious to go out with our new bikes!

The hitch I suggest for your 2018 Audi A3 is the Curt # C11399. I recommend this Class I hitch because it easily bolts on with included hardware (no drilling except you will need to enlarge some existing holes) and because its main cross tube will be mostly hidden behind your rear bumper fascia for a clean look. Installation instructions are linked for you.

Since you have fairly heavy e-bikes you'll need a special bike rack made for that extra weight. The rack that I recommend is the industry-leading Thule EasyFold # TH903202. The EasyFold bike rack offers a weight rating of 65-lbs per bike and it comes already equipped with locks, both for the bikes and for the rack itself. You will also need a stabilizer strap like the part # 18050.

Additional unique features on the EasyFold that make it a breeze to use include a built-in ramp for loading the bikes so you never have to lift their weight (the ramp stores right inside the rack). The rack also folds up to a very compact size and has wheels to make it easy to move it around the garage. You can check out the linked photo and video that show the rack folded up and in use.

I have an 2020 Audi Q3. What trailer hitch do I need to accommodate a 3 bike rack?

We currently have just one trailer hitch available that's designed to fit your 2020 Audi Q3 with the Stealth # 391AUDQ319. This is a really nice unit that will maintain the factory appearance on your Audi will allowing you to attach a 3-bike rack without a problem.
