What Does E.r. Code on Tekonsha Prodigy IQ Brake Controller Mean
Question:
Hello, all of a sudden my device is showing E.r code. My friend has the same unit and when i swapped them out his unit worked so i dont think it is the wiring. Is there a way to reset the unit? Regards

The "E.r." message you are seeing on your Tekonsha Primus Brake Controller actually indicates that there is an internal malfunction on the unit that cannot be fixed, which is why your friend's Primus worked perfectly with your existing wiring. The problem is with the brake controller itself and it will need to be replaced.
For a replacement I recommend upgrading to the Tekonsha Prodigy P2 # 90885. This will install the same way as your existing Primus so you won't need to re-configure any of the wiring. The P2 has improved diagnostic abilities to both detect errors and help you troubleshoot them. The P2 also features easier to use buttons on the front of the unit for simple adjustments and an upgraded accelerometer for better and more accurate proportional braking.
