No Trailer Lights on a 2018 Honda Pilot with Tekonsha 7-Way Harness Part # 118760

Question:

I have a 2018 Honda Pilot Touring with this wiring kit installed. Using a LED tester, nothing works. I did install the fuse under the hood in the correct location and double checked my ground with a meter. I have not plugged in the connector with the single blue wire, is that needed? I am not measuring 12V at the inline fuse. Did I miss a step.

What type of tester are you using? If it is one like the Curt LED 4-Way Flat Connector part # I26 then that may be part of the problem as these are not foolproof and do not always work with all wiring harnesses. Therefore, I would check each of the pins with an actual circuit tester while the respective signals are active. These are much more accurate than the above testers.

In regards to the T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness part # 118760 which is a fit for your 2018 Honda Pilot, there are a total of four fuses that need to be installed. There is a blue fuse that installs on the actual harness and then two yellow 20 amp and a 30 amp pink fuse that installs on the fuse box in the engine bay. I would double check that these are all installed as if you are not getting any power, one has to think they are not in the correct location.

The connector with the blue wire is only needed if your Pilot has backup sensors however, this would not cause the lights not to work. Please use an appropriate circuit tester and check the fuses. Let me know if the lights are still not working once completed.
