For your 2007 Ram truck 7-way to work with your trailer 6-way plug, you simply need to use an adapter. I recommend the Hopkins Endurance Multi-Tow Trailer Connector Adapter - 7-Way to 6-Way, 5-Way or 4-Way # HM47570 which will allow you to connect your trailer to your truck without any rewiring required. This adapter will allow the center pin to be used as 12V power or brake output with a simple change in the adapter to match your trailer (see attached video).

If you want to rewire your trailer to use a 7-way that is also an option. You can use the Bargman 7 way connector # A7WCB. I've attached a video to assist and have also attached an article to help. If you want to use a junction box for a clean connection point, I recommend the 7-Way Molded Trailer Plug with Junction Box # HS381-9000 for that upgrade and use ring terminal # 44-5310A for connections. This option will allow you to easily add that 7th wire function if desired. I've attached an article to assist with wiring function locations.
