Troubleshooting Fit of Draw-Tite Hi-Rise 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch on 2012 Ford Truck
Question:
The adapter wont sit low enough for the pin to go into the adaoter to hold the post. Do i need thinner non strips for my 2012 F 250? Im using the draw tite hide a goose hitch in the truck.

Yes, to use the Draw-Tite Hi-Rise Gooseneck-to-5th-Wheel Trailer Hitch # 9480 referenced in your question on your 2012 F-250 you will need to use the thinner strips from the Stabilizer Strip Kit # 58438. This will allow the hitch to sit properly between the corrugations of your Ford truck bed for it to secure to the gooseneck hole. I have attached an image from the Hi-Rise instructions manual to clarify this as well.
