Reliable Trailer Wiring Recommendation for 2004 Toyota Highlander
Question:
Hi I bought a curt 5617 wiring harness for my 04 highlnder. Plugged it in and not working. The ground is fine. There is power going in but not coming out of the black box. What is the issue?

Based on the troubleshooting you've done so far you have a shorted out converter box of your trailer wiring harness. The only solution in this scenario is a new harness. For that the Tekonsha brand like part # 118413 is our most reliable option so it would be what we recommend for your 2004 Toyota Highlander. I checked our order notes and was not able to find you in our system also. Based on that I don't believe you bought the kit from us.
