No Power to Brake Controller on a 2012 GMC Sierra

Question:

I did have brakes and now no power. I did have a blown fuse in box for the stud, changed it out. but still no power at the wires under dash? help I am stumped

Do you have the 12 volt power wire from the wiring harness attached to the fuse box post via a ring terminal? The ring terminal for brake controller power is located directly to the right of the power distribution box. It is taped to a wire harness between the driver-side front fender and the power distribution box. Cut the tape to release it from the harness. Then run the wire to the front of the power distribution box and hook the ring on the left post (M6 stud). I have attached a photo to assist.

If you have already completed this step then take a look at the fuse in the number 6 slot. If all else fails you can run a new power wire with part # 10-1-1 and part # 9506P.
