Parts Needed to Convert 4-Way of 2018 Honda Odyssey to 7-Way

Question:

Thanks. I'm actually thinking about getting the remote wireless brake controller in case we get another tow vehicle in the future or if our kids want to borrow it.

You'll need to look for a grommet or hole in the floor of the rear cargo area of your vehicle to permanently mount the connector underneath it. We haven't done this on a vehicle like your 2018 Odyssey but I am sure there's a grommet or hole in the floor board you could use.

Now if your trailer does not have brakes all you would need is the part # 37185 as an adapter to convert the 4-way to a 7-way.

If you do have trailer brakes you would need the # ETBC7 instead of the # 37185 and a brake controller. This kit comes with everything needed to wire up the 7-way and install a brake controller.

For a brake controller I would recommend the Prodigy P2 Brake Controller part # 90885. This is our best selling brake controller because of how well it works and how easy it is to setup.

The Prodigy RF part # TK94FR that you referenced is a great option for your 2018 Honda Odyssey. You only need the # 37185 to use it. You'll need to run the black wire of the adapter up to the positive post of your battery with 10 gauge wilre like part # 10-1-1 through a circuit breaker like part # 9510.
