Alternative to Lifting Torsion Axles

Question:

I have a Jayco Jay Feather X18D. The Dexter axle sticker is Jayco Part #6222, rated capacity of 2200 lbs. S/N is 122969240. From what I can see, the three tandem dexter lift kits I see on your site will not work because my brackets are only 3 inch long. I am wondering if there is a way to lift this axle? I have seen where some have had plates fabricated and then used tubular steel cut for spacers. Thanks for any info. you could provide.

Unfortunately we do not have any parts that will allow you to lift your torsion axle. As you stated the lift kits we offer will not work with 3 inch tall brackets so while there is nothing I can offer you in terms of lifting your current axle you do have the option of removing that axle and using a Timbren Axle-Less Trailer Suspension System like the 4" Lift Spindle w/Flange - Off-Road Tires # ASR1THDS03 which is rated for 2,200 lbs and gives you 4 inches of lift.
