Mighty RV Power Cord Disconnects from Trailer Because of Trailer Outlet Position & Weight of Cable
Question:
The trailer-end plug is 180 degrees out of phase. To connect you have to with the handle at the 9 oclock position then turn it to the 11 oclock position to lock. The weight of the cable pulls the plug handle back down to the 9 position and disconnects the plug. What am I missing? How to resolve this.

It sounds like you will have to insert the end of # A10-5025ED, rotate it to "lock" it into place, and then run the cable up and over the yellow plug and then route the cable down so that the weight is on the other side pulling the plug the opposite direction it would turn if the cable was hanging normally.
The other option is to adjust the plug on the trailer so as to eliminate the issue altogether. This is the first time I have heard of this issue so it could be that the trailer outlet was put in wrong which is a definite possibility; especially if it was ever replaced.
