Could Bad Step Motor Cause Fuse to Blow on RV Coach Step

Question:

We have a 29foot Safari Trek Class A motor home. Just recently our RV step stuck open while on vacation. I discovered that the 25 amp fuse was blown so I replaced it only to blow the new fuse as well as a third fuse. I suspect that a wire or two may be causing the problem. Any suggestions to expedite the process of troubleshooting. Thanks,

Has the motor gotten any slower or seem like it's straining at all? When an electrical motor starts to fail it begins drawing more amperage than normal which can easily cause fuses to blow. Other than that it is probably wiring like you mentioned.
