Comparing etrailer.com 3,200-Watt Portable Inverter Generator to Honda Generator

How does this compare to the Honda EU3000 generators?

The etrailer.com 3,200-Watt Portable Inverter Generator # 333-0003 referenced in your question is an excellent generator that is actually very comparable to the Honda unit that you mentioned. While we don't currently carry Honda products I did look into the EU3000 and found that the etrailer.com unit does have a slightly higher 3,200-Watt starting output (compared to 3,000 for the Honda). Both units are extremely quiet and rate almost identical in that category with a noise level measurement right around 58 dB (just below the volume of normal conversation). The etrailler.com generator is a bit lighter at about 90 pounds (131 pounds for the Honda) which will allow for easier transport. It does also come with a nice 2-year limited warranty for residential use.
The biggest difference though between the two units, which you probably already know, is the price point. The etrailer.com generator offers many identical specs to the Honda generator at just a fraction of the cost. Honda absolutely makes great generators and they have a great reputation, but a lot of what you will be paying for is their name. The etrailer.com generator is an extremely nice unit that offers many of the same qualities.
With the etrailer.com generator you can also add the Parallel Power Kit # 333-0007 if needed that will let you pair it with another 3,200 watt etrailer generator to increase its power output to 6,000 watts.
