We do not have the 5,500 watt Champion inverter generators, but I can tell you that running two of them in parallel using the Parallel Kit for 3,000 to 5,500-Watt Champion Inverter Generators with ParaLINK # CH84FR will double the starting watts, running watts and amp output.

For example, the Champion Dual Fuel Inverter Generators w/ Parallel Kit # CH49FR uses two of the Champion 4,500-Watt Dual Fuel Portable Inverter Generator # CH44FR with the parallel kit.

The Champion 4,500-Watt Dual Fuel Portable Inverter Generator # CH44FR alone has a starting rating of 4,500 watts and 37.50 amps and a running rating of 3,500 watts and 29.20 amps. When run in parallel it goes to a starting rating of 9,000 watts and 75 amps with a running rating of 7,000 watts and 58.33 amps.

So when run in parallel, you are doubling the output that you get from one generator.
