Troubleshooting Kwikee Step on 2013 Jayco Greyhawk that Clicks
Question:
The motor on my step powers it in and out but when it gets to the stops, I hear a loud clicking noise. What do I need to correct the problem? I cannot find a Series # on the motor, gearbox or gear arm. It has 2 steps.

Helpful Expert Reply:
Sounds like the motor is on it's way out if it's clicking. Similar to how a car starter will start clicking when it has failed and draws too much amperage to operate. Since the trailer is newer (2013 Jayco Greyhawk) you would most likely need the newer style of Kwikee motor part # LC379147 which fits Kwikee steps manufactured after 2005.
