If your trailer's 6-way plug and your 6-to-7-way adapter # 47549 that you installed for temporary use are now stuck together you can try gentle twisting and flexing of the two parts as you pull on them.

Summer heat can cause such items to become fused together since they usually have a snug fit to begin with (to prevent risk of accidental separation). There could also be corrosion on the parts' electrical contacts from trapped water that could be why they do not want to separate.

You can try disassembling the black plastic housing on the adapter by removing the two screws that hold it together. You might only need to loosen them slightly. You can also try a small amount of oil (as in one drop or two) at the gap between the parts.

If all efforts fail you can wire in a new 6-way round connector # PK11604. An article including information on 6-way wiring is included for you.

Next time you need to use an adapter I recommend applying dielectric grease # 11755 before making the connection since this will protect the electrical contacts from corrosion.
