Brake Controller Install Harness for Prodigy Brake Controller in 2005 Ford F-150
Question:
Trailer side plug does not fit into 2005 Ford F150 OEM 7-Way I had a 2005 Dodge 2500 and towed my trailer effortlessly. The factory plug fit fine. Sold truck and am setting up my 2005 F150 4x4 to tow my trailer. Installed the brake controller, from you, backed up to the trailer to see the c appear on my prodigy controller and the trailer plug does not fit into the OEM plug?? Is there a simple fix? Could the plug on the truck be out of round?

You'll need a new brake controller install harness for your Prodigy # 90885 since the harnesses are all vehicle specific. A harness that fits a Dodge would not fit a Ford. So for your 2005 Ford F-150 you'd want the part # 3035-P which is a confirmed fit.
If instead you are referring to a trailer connector at the rear of the vehicle send me a picture of the connector from your tow vehicle and your trailer and I'll see what type of adapter you might need.
