7-Way Harness for 2008 Ford F-450
Question:
Hello, The truck I purchased used has a trailer harness installed and it looks like someone spliced into the wires in order to install the fifth wheel plug in the bed however that plug doesnt work. I was hoping to replace the hack job with the OEM harness and then use your custom fit Curt Custom Fit Vehicle Wiring - C56070. But I cannot seem to find the correct OEM harness for my truck. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Since your F-450's wiring has been cut the easiest way to go is to use 7-way connector kit # PK11998 or the same item with a new 7-way socket, part # HM40975-11998. Both of these include butt connectors to let you splice a new U.S. Car connector to your existing wiring.
You'll want to use a tester like # PTW2992, shown in the linked video, to identify the function on each vehicle wire and match those functions to the wire assignments on the new harness.
If you also want to have a second 7-way harness in the bed for a 5th wheel you can install one easily (without any cutting or splicing) by using a kit such as # C56070 that you referenced.
