Disconnecting Brake Controller Install Harness Wiring on 2007 Dodge Ram 2500
Question:
2007 Dodge Ram 2500 heavy duty. The aftermarket break controller has failed. I am trying to disconnect it from the factory harness. The connection controller to truck wont come apart with pulling and any release tabs are not evident. In addition, I can hardly get both hands on the connections. Do you have any hints or tips?

The wiring harness # 3020-P used to plug in a trailer brake controller like the Tekonsha Prodigy P3 # 90195 has a press-down release tab on both the vehicle and brake controller ends. You can see these tabs in the linked photo. You'll need to press the tab while pulling the connectors apart. Connectors like this can be very stubborn. The trick that works for more people is to hold the release down and wiggle the connection and much as you can while pulling the two pieces apart so that you can eventually get it free.
