Recommended Trailer Wiring Harness for 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee without Tow Package
Question:
I recently purchased a 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee which did NOT come with the Tow Package. The dealer however did put the trailer hitch, but it did not come with the wiring harness. I do not believe the Jeep came with the receiver in order to plug the connector in. I took a look under the bumper and did not see the connector there, so I am not sure what exactly I need. I only have a jet ski trailer so I dont require the 7 pin connector. Just trying to determine the best possible solution for this. Thanks!

For your 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee, there is not a custom harness at this time. Instead, you can use a universal fit option to get the trailer wiring you need. I recommend using the ZCI Circuit Protected Vehicle Wiring Harness w/ 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector and Installation Kit # 119250KIT. This harness kit comes with a circuit tester and captures the signal on your wires without splicing needed. You will need to run a power wire to the vehicle battery for this modulite. I've attached an article to assist with routing that wire.
