A 7-way type trailer wiring setup generally uses a 40-amp circuit breaker to protect the auxiliary trailer power circuit, the one that feeds the trailer for things like delivering a trickle charge to a trailer-mounted battery or for operating an electric trailer tongue jack. Our universal hardwired 7-way installation kit # ETBC7 includes such a 40-amp breaker for the trailer power circuit.

On the other hand the Tekonsha 7-way Harness kit # 118266 specifies only a 20-amp relay for the trailer power circuit. This is noted in the instructions for this kit which are linked.

If the fuse you refer to was in the Frontier's engine compartment power distribution box then the fuse position or the box's cover will often indicate the correct fuse value for each function. The appropriate value of the fuse or breaker for this circuit will depend on the type of wiring setup you have. If it is an OEM setup then I suggest checking your owner's manual or with a local dealership to confirm the correct fuse/relay value.
