How to Install Wobble Rollers on Older Boat Trailer
Question:
I have an older model boat trailer and the wobble roller shaft looks to have the rollers retained by the ends of the shaft being compressed at the factory. Like a machine comes down with force leaving areas with protruding metal retaining the roller. There are no holes at the end of the shaft. I want to replace the rollers. Looks like I will have to grind the end of the shaft to remove the old rollers. Question is, how do I retain the new rollers.

If you have enough of the shaft still intact then you can use the CE Smith Wobble Roller Retainer Ring # CE10981 and a Wobble Roller Washer # CE10983 for the Yates Ribbed Wobble Roller # YR343R-6P for a 3/4" shaft. Otherwise you may need to get a new shaft and use the above products to secure the rollers.
To install the retainer ring you can use ring pliers like part # PTW88003.
