The parts needed to flat tow your 2018 Ram 1500 will depend on what model you have; we will start with the Big Horn, Laramie/Laramie Longhorn, Limited, or Tradesman 4WD.

For these models I recommend the Roadmaster EZ5 Base Plate Kit # RM-52289-5. For a tow bar I recommend going with the Roadmaster Nighthawk # RM-676 because of how easy the tow bar is to connect to the base plates as well as its long arms, which make it easier to maneuver when towing, as well as its integrated safety cables and LED lights. Tow Bar Cover # RM-055-3 will keep your Nighthawk free from getting dinged up and the Tow Defender Protective Screening # RM-4750 will protect your Ram's front end from flying debris as you tow it. For a wiring kit that will allow your Ram's lights to function while being towed you can use the Roadmaster Universal Hy-Power Diode Wiring Kit # RM-152.

If you have a 2018 Ram 1500 Rebel, Sport or Express 4WD you will need Demco Base Plates # DM9517335 and for a tow bar I recommend the Demco Dominator # DM9511008 due to its self-aligning and non-binding design; it also comes with integrated safety cables so you are not going to have to purchase those separately. For a wiring kit you can use the Roadmaster 7-Wire to 6-Wire Flexo-Coil Wiring Kit # RM-15267.

The following will be for ALL models of 2018 Ram 1500, starting with a supplemental braking system, which is a requirement in most states. I highly recommend the SMI Stay-IN-Play # SM99251 for this. This is a proportional braking system which is a one-time install which you can leave in so you'll never have to deactivate or reactivate it.

Finally, you will need Charge Line Kit # RM-156-25 to keep your battery from draining as you tow your truck.
