Recommended Trailer Wiring Harness for 2015 GMC Terrain
Question:
I bought my 2015 GMC Terrain used and not sure if it has a tow package but it does have a gray connector in the back drivers side. Am I correct to assume that as long as I have that gray connector it will take the simple wiring harness? Thanks

If your 2015 GMC Terrain has the gray harness like you see in the attached video, then the T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness for Factory Tow Package - 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector # 118264 will work for your simple wiring connection. However, just because the plug is present does not mean the Tow Package has been activated, so there is a possibility you would need to have the computer reprogrammed for the tow package to work.
You can contact the local GM dealer with your VIN to determine if the package is active or not.
If you don't have an active tow package, I recommend the Hopkins Plug-In Simple Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector # HM11141275 which installs behind the tail lights of your vehicle. This harness as opposed to the other will stow beneath your vehicle, so I recommend the bracket # 18140 and # 18144 for that application.
