No Power to Brake Controller on a 2019 Honda Ridgeline

Question:

Hello, I got this info from a previous question on a 2018 Ridgeline. The Fuse Box Type B under the hood has fuse locations related to tow package wiring in position 3 TRL E-BRAKE 20 amp, position 6 TRL HAZARD 7.5 amps, position 7 TRL BACKUP 7.5 amps, position 9 TRAILER SMALL 20 amp, and position 11 TRL CHARGE 20 amp. I checked all of the above fuses but Im not getting power to the black wire on my wiring harness #3070p. The red wire gets power when brake pedal is pressed and ground is good. If the truck is running should there be power supplied to the above fuses? I checked and nothing registers except #17 STRLD. What am I missing. Thanks for your help.

The Tekonsha Plug-In Wiring Adapter for Electric Brake Controllers part # 3070-P that you referenced is currently listed as a fit for a 2006 - 2018 Honda Ridgeline. The 2019 model year has not yet been confirmed (August 2018) which might be why you are having issues. The pins may or may not have carried over to the next model year. The fuse that will supply power to a brake controller on a 2019 Honda Ridgeline is a 20 amp circuit in the number 3 position on the driver's side under hood fuse box.

If the above fuse is in good condition then the best option would be to run a hot wire from the controller directly to the battery with part # 10-1-1 and part # PK54530. The brake output and ground pins would also need to align with the corresponding pins on the vehicle's harness.
