Available Types of Ladder Racks for Utility Trailers
Question:
Looking to possibly install this on an open utility trailer. What is the maximum width that the tracks can be installed between each other?

We do have racks that might be more suitable for your open utility trailer. The Thule TracRac SR Sliding Ladder racks are meant for stake pocket installation and the tracks need to be spaced apart no more than approximately 64-inches on centers.
Just for example, Malone makes their TopTier Load Bar Kit for Utility Trailers # MPG493 that provides more height than the SR. The TopTier uses 53-inch uprights as compared to the 27-inch height of the SR.
If you send a photo or two of your trailer we can help you find the best option for transporting your specific cargo items.
