How to Pick Out Disc Brake Kit for EZ Loader Boat Trailer
Question:
So, i have a 2004 ez loader boat trailer branded by Glastron. It is a single axle with no brakes. It has the four hole mounting plate on the axle. The id plate info is so faded that i cant read it. The registration says the model is zu and wc, which i assume is weight code, is a. Is this enough info to tell me what kit i need? Thank you.

Since you said the brake mounting flanges on your 2004 EZ Loader boat trailer have a 4 bolt mount that would almost guarantee that the correct kit you'd need is the Kodiak Disc Brake kit part # K2HR35D for 3,500 lb trailer axles.
You can verify this pretty easily by measuring the spindle you have once you pull the hub off. If the bearing surfaces measures 1.06 inch and 1.38 inch in diameter then this kit will be exactly what you need. Use a digital caliper like the # PTW80157 to get accurate measurements. If you have different dimensions let me know. I also attached a help article on how to add disc brakes to a trailer for you to check out as well.
