Are 225/75-15 Tires Similar in Size to 7.00-15 Tires

Question:

We have 7.0 15 Lt on a camper and were wondering if a 225 75 15 is equivalent size or is there one that is equivalent to the old tire

There is not an equivalent trailer tire to your light truck tires that are 7.00-15, which have an overall diameter of 29.4" and width of 7.8". A 225/75-15 tire such as the Karrier # AM10256 is similar, with a 28.4" diameter and 8.9" width.

You will want to use trailer tires, which will be designated "ST" on your trailer because they have a stiffer sidewall and are designed to handle the loads that a trailer will put on them. Just remember to keep the tires inflated to the max psi in order to get the best performance out of them.
