Power Steering Cooler Recommendation for a 2005 Dodge Ram 1500 Crew Cab
Question:
05 1500 dodge ram crew cab. It has the 4.7 v8 and I was wondering if part# D12200 would fit in my truck. My power steering cooler is leaking bad so I need to replace it. Please let me know if this will work or if there is a better one. Thanks

I had a power steering fluid leak on my car and it ended up being a hose issue that was covered under a recall. This may be something you can look into by calling a dealer and asking about open recalls on your year and model Ram.
If you do need to replace the cooler I would go with something larger like the Derale 4-Pass Tube-Fin Power Steering Cooler, # D13212. For the most efficiency in cooling, mount the cooler in front of the A/C condenser core in front of the radiator.
