How Many Fans Could be Powered by Dodge Ram 12 Volt Trailer Wiring Circuit
Question:
i have a 96 dodge ram 2500 diesel. i have a large horse trailer with fans. how many 12v, 1.4 amp fans can i safely run in a horse trailer hooked to my truck? without burning up my truck wiring harness

You'll have to check the amperage rating of the 12 volt circuit for the trailer wiring on your trailer. You may have a 30 amp circuit or sometimes a 40 amp circuit. You'd need to divide the amperage rating of the circuit by 1.4 to know how many fans could be ran assuming that figure is the starting amperage and not the running amperage. 30 amps divided by 1.4 amps is 21 basically.
