Troubleshooting Trailer Wiring Where Right Turn Stays On all the Time with Trailer Connection

Question:

Hi i have a 1995 30’ travel trailer and a few weeks ago I had to re attach the wires to the 7 round plug on the trailer. My truck had rolled some when I had unhooked it from the truck and still had the wiring harness plugged in??. I re attached all the wires to the harness in the same sequence that the truck plug has. For some reason the rightpassenger side stays on, bright, and the others work as they should.

Sounds like you have a short between the right turn/blinker circuit and the 12 volt power circuit. Most likely when you rewired the setup a couple wires ended up touching each other and causing the problem you described.

I'd recommend going over the wiring of the trailer to see if you can find where the issue is and fix as needed. I also attached a help article on troubleshooting trailer wiring for you to check out as well.
