Is Sway Control Necessary when Towing a 4,500 Pound Trailer with a 2012 Chevy Tahoe
Question:
I have a 1999 aljo camper. It weighs 4,500lb and I can haul up to 5,000 in my 2012 Chevy Tahoe do I need a sway bar? I drove it home and that was a three hour drive and it did fine.

You never know when you might run into a sway problem so it is a good idea to be prepared. This is especially true since some sway control bars are inexpensive, such as # 83660, so it is a cost effective way to add a little stability to a trailer. The only other item you would need is sway control bracket # RP26003. I have linked a video that features both of these parts for you.
