Options for Replacement Motor for Pre-IMGL Kwikee 32 Step On RV
Question:
I have a 1996 Newmar Mountain Aire with Kwikee double step series 32. my motor has failed on the steps, but I am inclined to purchase the upgrade kit LC379145. Will this kit work with my pre-1999 steps? Others seem to indicate that it will work, and Im not anxious to purchase new steps.

The upgrade kit part # LC379145 that you referenced won't work for you since before 1999 is the PRE-IMGL style of step and the kits now offered are only for the new style. This kit is for 1999 to 2005 motor setups. If you wanted to just replace your motor you'd need the part # LC379608.
Or you could get a new Kwikee 32 step like the part # LC372261 which is the modern version of the step you have.
