Brake Controller Wiring Instructions and Video for Installation on a 1990 Ford F-150
Question:
Im trying to wire a 7-way flat pin connector to a 1990 ford f150 p/u. Does this truck come with a wiring harness or do I have to run wires? Can you give me the wiring harness color I need to connect to?

Did your vehicle come equipped with the factory tow package? If so, the 7 way might be bolted to the frame member on the driver's side, behind the rear axle. You would just unbolt it, and mount it on the rear bumper.
If you do not have the tow package, you would need a # 118316 T-One 4-Way Connector ( if a working 4-Way is not present), and an Electric Brake Controller Installation Kit, # ETBC7.
All of the wiring, trailer connectors and parts needed to complete the installation are included with these items and we have detailed instructions online, see link, to help you with installation. We also have a video of the installation or the Electric Brake Controller Installation Kit and 4-Way wiring on a 1990 F-150 that should help you with the installation.
