The magnet wires on Electric Trailer Brake Assembly # A35W42B are 18 gauge. The wiring going to the brakes from a trailer connector is usually larger such as 10 gauge # 10-2-1.

If your trailer has a junction box such as # PK52248 you would just run wire, not necessarily 10 gauge, from the brake magnets to the box and use a ring terminal to attach it to the brake post in the box. The brake wire from the trailer connector would be attached to the same post in the box. If you do not have a junction box you will need to double up the 18 gauge wire so it will fit into a butt connector such as # DW05745-5. You would strip back enough of the wire insulation to fold the wires over on itself making a fatter wire.
