It sounds like you have a wishbone wiring harness on your trailer, for which there will be two brown running light wires - one for each side of the trailer. If the running lights are not working on your trailer, I recommend first checking the trailer side connector for any debris or corrosion that might be built up inside the pins.
Also check the ground connections on the trailer, including the light assemblies themselves (whether they ground through a dedicated wire or through their mounting hardware). If the connector and grounds look good, then you will simply want to inspect the brown wires on both sides of the trailer for any damaged, pinched, or exposed sections and replacing as needed. Make sure they are securely connected to the light assemblies and to the connector at the front of the trailer.
If you still aren't able to find any issues, I recommend using a circuit tester like # PTW2993 to test the running lights pin on your tow vehicle connector with the function activated. If you don't get power there, then the issue is actually on your vehicle and not the trailer.
Please let me know if you are unable to resolve the issue and we can troubleshoot further.
