SportRack Roof Rack to Fit the 2013 Nissan Juke
Question:
Hello! I see that the SportRack Semi-Custom Roof Rack for Naked Roofs - Square Crossbars - Steel - 50inch Long system will fit my Juke. However, it is a rather stubby, curvy car. Curious if this warrants the need to purchase the short/curved roof rack kit, too? In addition, what J-racks will work best with this system? We would be hauling 2 12-ft kayaks. Many thanks!

Your 2013 Nissan Juke isn't a long vehicle by any means but it does have plenty of space to mount the SportRack roof rack, part # SR1010. So you don't need the short-roof adapter, part # SR1116, like some vehicles do. According to the roof rack's installation details, which I've linked on this page for you, the front crossbar should sit 10 inches towards the windshield from the door seam (measurement A) and the rear crossbar sits 26 inches behind the front crossbar (measurement B). I linked an install video too but it's on a different car. The process is the same on your Juke but the measurements are different.
To carry two kayaks I like the JayLow, part # Y04073, because it can be used for one or two kayaks and it folds down when not in use. You need a second set of tie-downs though, part # Y04031. I also recommend the QuickLashes from Malone, part # MPG308, because they make the tie-down connections a lot easier.
