Will the Hopkins Backup System Part # HM50002 Work with a Jayco 28BHBE
Question:
I want to mount this on the license plate frame of a Jayco 28BHBE pulled by a 2011 Ford Expecition EL. I can figure out how to run the wires under the chassis of both vehicles. What I need to know is: 1 Is this possible? 2 How many of the 25foot extensions do I need? 3 Can I string multiple extensions together? 4 How do I make a disconnect at the trailer hitch? Thanks.

The Hopkins Smart Hitch Backup Camera and Hitch Aligner System part # HM50002 is not a good fit for your Jayco 28BHBE due to the fact that you will not be attaching a trailer to your trailer and that the license plate mount on your trailer is offset under the passengers taillight. This means you will not have a very good view of what is behind you trailer trailer expect on the passenger's side.
Instead, I recommend Rear View Safety Wireless Hitch Camera part # RVS-83112 which is a wireless system that means you do not have to worry about running wires from the trailer to the vehicle. I recommend mounting the camera in the center of the trailer preferably on the rear bumper.
I have attached a review video for you as well.
