Aftermarket Tow Package for a 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee

Hello, I have a 2015 Jeep grand Cherokee without the tow package. The towing capacity for the same truck is around 6500 pounds with factory tow package. I am the handbook that came with vehicle states towing capacity is reduced to 3500 pounds without factory tow package. I am unclear as to what aftermarket towing package I will need to bring it back to its full towing capacity. Any help would be greatly appreciated thank you

We have all of the parts to add an aftermarket tow package to your 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee but adding aftermarket parts will not increase what a vehicle is rated for from the factory. The added parts may have a higher rating than the Jeep does but you're limited by your lowest rated component, which is often the vehicle itself.

The parts I recommend for your Jeep are the Draw-Tite trailer hitch receiver # 75699, wiring harness # 118727 to power the trailer's lights, and ball mount kit # 989900. The ball mount kit includes a couple of ball mounts and hitch balls of different sizes so you want to make sure it's right for you first.
