Removing and Installing Valterra Eccentric Tank Reducer # T1041-1

Question:

How do I remove the old one in order to install the new one? It looks like it uses glue to connect on to the tank. How do a break that glue to remove the old one. I do also see a hose clamp behind this part, but I dont know that is the only thing holding this on. I also see what looks like plumbers putty. Both the putty and the hose clamp look like theyre well behind this part. Will the glue just break out without breaking the tank? Ive attached a picture for reference.

The Valterra Eccentric Tank Reducer, part # T1041-1, is installed with cement. When you reinstall the new one use # A05-0303.

The cement is permanent so you're not going to be able to break it up. Instead you need to cut the pipes after removing the hose clamps. Then replace it with the new one and apply the new cement.

The same cement can be used on other plumbing parts as well.
