Replacement Hardware for Draw-Tite Trailer Hitch Receiver to Move From 2016 to 2017 Ford Fusion

Question:

Thanks for the help with this. I now have this receiver installed and I need a ball mount. I need a 2" ball. I see several options on your website but have no idea which to choose. I plan to pull a small trailer.

To order the exact original hardware that was included with the Draw-Tite # 24897 use part # RHK. Choose "Draw-Tite" from the drop down and then enter the part number into the box.

All of our prices are on the product pages and I've also linked an install video for you on a 2016 Fusion.

For a ball mount on your 2017 Ford Fusion I recommend part # 3592. It includes a pin and clip and offers up to 2-1/8 inches of rise or 2-3/4 inches of drop. To determine if this works with your trailer measure from the ground to the inside top of the Fusion's receiver opening with it parked on level ground. Then meaure from the ground to the bottom of the trailer's coupler and find the difference between those two numbers. If the trailer is higher than you need a ball mount with a rise and if the trailer is lower then you need a drop. I've linked a help article that explains this is more detail. If this ball mount works for you use part # 19258 for a 2 inch hitch ball. If you don't already have wiring on the Fusion to power the trailer's lights then I recommend adding part # 118574 for a 4-way connector. It plugs in behind each tail light and then has a hot lead that is connected to the vehicle's battery through the included fuse. I've linked a video of it being installed on a 2015 Fusion for you.
