Left Turn Signal Blows After Trailer Wiring Harness Install on a 2011 Buick Enclave
Question:
When installing the harness it blew the left turn signal every time I turned on the signal with no trailer attached. I assume the problem was with the harness I purchased. Connor L said there were other options such as #118450 which I believe is the harness I have. Is it possible that the harness you sold to me is faulty? Where do you suggest I go from here?

There is always a possibility that the T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector part # 118450 is faulty but I would say that 90% of the time this is not the case. For starters, you will need to inspect the pins inside of each connector that goes to the taillight to ensure they are not bent or broken. If they are then this is what is likely causing the short. If the pins are not bent/broken then I would begin to trace the left turn signal wire from the harness to the trailer connector to make sure there are no shorts. If there are shorts then this again could cause the turn signal fuse to blow.
If none of the above sets yield a solution for you then it may just be time to try a different harness as stated above there is always a small possibility that one is faulty.
