Recommended Parts to Add 7-Way Trailer Wiring to 2018 Toyota Highlander Hybrid
Question:
2018 Highlander Hybrid with factory hitch and factory 4 way connector. How do I install and connect a 7 way plug 1200 lbs tear trailer so do not need brake controller or brake signal. I just need the added 12V and ground and of course the 4 plug way signals. What eTrailer product do you recommend.

For your 2018 Toyota Highlander, because you already have the 4-way trailer connector and don't want the brake controller wiring, you simply need to add the Mighty Cord Trailer Connector Adapter # A10-7084VP. Installing this adapter means connecting to your current 4-way and then connecting the white ground wire with the ring terminal to a bare metal connection to the frame or frame mounted panel.
Then to add the 12V power, you will use wire # 10-1-1 sold by the foot and connect it to the black power wire of the adapter. Then running that wire up to your engine bay, you will use circuit breaker # 9510 and then connect the wire on the opposite end to the positive battery terminal. You can simply tape the other two wires out of the way. If you choose to add the features later, the blue wire is your brake controller output connection and the yellow wire is your connection to your reverse lights.
For mounting, you can use bracket # A10-9394VP and # 18140 if needed.
