According to what you told me, since it's not the LED lights, you may want to re-check the ground on the vehicle side. Since you are not getting the proper signals to the trailer lights then you will want to start off by making sure your vehicle end connectors where the factory harness plugs in do not have any corrosion on them. make sure sure they are clean and the pins are not bent. Yes, this applies on new trucks. If they look good then you will want to check the wiring on your vehicle for any places where it is corroded, bent, exposed, or damaged. You can use 16 Gauge Wire # 16-1-1 and Butt Connectors # DW05744-5 to replace any wiring that needs to be replaced.

I also recommend checking the wiring on your trailer, even though it works on a different truck.

Make sure the main connector grounds are attached to clean and corrosion free bare metal surfaces. I recommend rechecking the ground because if there is anything between a light ground and the metal trailer frame or if the trailer has an aluminum frame, tilt bed, or folding tongue, any of these things can interrupt the ground.

Do you recommend putting diaelectric grease on trailer lighting plug connections
