Replacement LED Taillights for Incandescent Taillights

Question:

We don't have a perfect LED replacement for the Optronics RVST50. Most of the time if you like that fixture we can simply replace the incandescent bulb with an LED bulb. Unfortunately the 2057 bulb in that fixture doesn't have an LED replacement available. My recommendation is to swap your lights for the Low Profile RV Tail Light # RVSTL60 and Driver's side # RVSTL61. I've attached a video to assist with the visual of this light.

That is a good question. I'm not sure what the requirement is on power draw for your lights out circuit on your Ford Expedition. If you end up with a low draw and that lights out error, you can use the Putco LED Light Bulb Load-Resistors # P230004A-2 which will cause that circuit to draw power like and incandescent so you can use LED lights without the error message. Other options are adapters that draw that extra power at your trailer connection like # TR20141 or # 20142. These adapters require that extra power from your vehicle wiring so you won't get that error, but won't impact the function of your trailer LED lights.
