How to Wire an Envoy Trailer Brake Controller in a 2010 Ford F-150

I need the wireing diagram off the back of the envoy brake controller working on 2010 ford f-150

Expert Reply:
A brake controller such as the Envoy that you have referenced will have 4 wires coming out the the back.
The white wire is ground
The blue wire is output to trailer brakes
The red wire connects to the cold side of the stop light switch
The black wire provides 12 volt power from the battery.
The 2010 Ford F-150 will have a factory port for a brake controller wiring harness. For the Envoy brake controller with the blunt cut wires on the back, you would need # 22292 and will have to cut off the end that has a connector that plugs into a brake controller (the black connector). On the truck, the vehicle plug is located to the right of the steering column behind the black pocket in the dash. I have included a link to the installation details for this harness.
