Options to Increase Height of Tandem Axle Travel Trailer
Question:
I have a 27 Tracer travel trailer. Leaf springs on top of axles. I would like to lift it 2 to 3. What are my options without welding and major fab work? They are 3500 lbs dexter axles. I have pics.

An axle over-under conversion kit like # K71-384-00 and # K71-385-00 can provide a height gain for a trailer. That gain is equal to the sum of the axle diameter plus the height of the leaf spring stack. But it sounds like you already have such a kit installed on your Prime Time Tracer ultra-light travel trailer's two axles.
Your remaining options to lift the height of the trailer are then to install new taller leaf spring hangers and/or to increase your wheel/tire size. New hangers will give you the most increase and will avoid potential tire-to-fender clearance concerns that can come up with switching to larger trailer tires. But they will require removing the old hangers.
